Kelly O’Keefe is a respected innovator within the marketing industry. He’s been a founding board member of both Ad:Tech and the VCU Brandcenter, two hot spots for industry change. Kelly has been both a recipient and judge of the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award and Adweek Southeast named his firm “Agency of the Year”, calling him a “pioneer known for being on the leading edge.”
A well-known writer and speaker on branding strategy and marketing trends, his work has been featured in books like Business @ the Speed of Thought by Bill Gates, Branded Customer Service by Janelle Barlow and Be the Brand by David Martin. His commentary on branding and business strategy has been featured on CNBC, CNN/fn, FoxNews, ESPN.com, MSNBC, and dozens of publications including USA Today, BusinessWeek, BrandWeek, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
As Founder and President of O’Keefe Brands, Kelly leads the strategic team to develop solutions that create tangible impact on our clients’ brands and businesses. He has worked with clients like Wal-Mart, The Home Depot, Hamilton Beach, Mikasa and Circuit City. He has also acted as a marketing consultant to two Virginia Governors and serves on the boards of The Southern Technology Council, the VCU Brandcenter, The Virginia Council of CEOs, St. Joseph’s Villa, and several corporations. Kelly is also a professor of Brand Management at the VCU Brandcenter, where he contributed to the development of the curriculum.
